 Every January we start getting calls about Raccoons in the attic. Most people think they “just got in a few nights ago”. In reality they have probably been in the house since fall, they just weren't heard until the mating season started in January. The mating season runs through May, with 2-8 kits born about 2 months later. During the next couple weeks, the female searches the attic for a secluded birthing spot she can defend from intruders. We have a pest control license, if sprays worked we would use them, but they don’t. Your lawn needs worms to aerate the soil. Moles need to eat their weight every day to survive because of their very high metabolism. They probably eat 20 worms to every grub found.
